Compassion changes circumstances, but it is only the beginning. The gospel changes eternities. In Acts 3 and 4, Peter and John saw a need and acted, and that act of mercy opened a door for the gospel to move. People noticed, a crowd gathered, and hearts were convicted. The religious leaders resisted, yet the Spirit filled the believers and gave them boldness to speak the name of Jesus. This is the pattern God calls us to follow. This year our connect groups will not just serve. They will serve with purpose and create moments where mercy meets the message of salvation.
