The Sabbath and the Savior

Most of us know what it feels like to be tired. We carry responsibilities, worries, expectations, and the constant pressure to do more. We long for rest, yet true rest often seems just out of reach. When many people hear the word “Sabbath,” they think of rules, restrictions, or a particular day on the calendar. But what if the Sabbath was always meant to point to something greater? In Luke 14:1-6, Jesus challenges common assumptions about the Sabbath and reveals God’s deeper purpose. This week, we’ll discover how the Sabbath points beyond a day of rest to an everyday rest in Christ.
